1987 Black Starion ESI-R

Hello Everyone!

I just purchased an 1987 Mitsubishi Starion ESI-R
Black with Black Leather
115,000 Miles
5-Speed

FIRST 11 of VIN:
JA3CC54NXHZ

YEAR AN MONTH OF PRODUCTION:
September 1986

I paid just $1300. Known issues - Dent behind drivers side door and ding in front drivers side fender. A/C does not work (he said it needs to be converted to new freon), and Cruise Control does not work (maybe clutch pedal switch?). Car also would hit a wall at 4000K or anytime the car started boosting but for the most part the issue is fixed now (I found a vacuum line that was not plugged in).

So far I've upgraded/replaced the following parts:

1988 Starion ECU
NGK ME51 Plug Wires
NGK BPR7ES .35 Gapped Spark Plugs
Ebay 100 Amp Alternator
Gates V-Belt: High Capacity (Standard); Water Pump And Alternator
Gates V-Belt: High Capacity (Standard); Power Steering
Gates V-Belt: High Capacity (Standard); Air Conditioning
Stant 180 Degree Thermostat: SuperStat
Airtex Distributor Cap and Rotor Kit
Cardone Select Water Pump
Wagner Brake Pad ThermoQuiet Brake Pads: Front and Rear
OCAutosports (Ebay) Front and Rear Drilled and Slotted Rotors
TurboXS Manual Boost Controller (set to 10psi for now)

and of course I had to buy some high quality parts from KDM

KDM Aluminum Radiator (Installed and working well)
KDM Upper and Lower Silicone radiator hoses and clamps

and I just purchased KDM's 2.5" Aluminized Downpipe (hoping to do custom 2.5" exhaust with Magnaflow CAT and cheap EBAY muffler soon).

Now that I've introduced myself I hope I can post soon and I'll try to post some pictures of my new KDM radiator (just installed last weekend).

Mike
